About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Control Systems Engineer to join our team at Delphinus Engineering. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting complex control systems for our clients in the defense and federal markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and review requirements and design specifications for control systems
  • Lead new development projects to upgrade, enhance, or alter existing embedded systems
  • Generate and execute test plans and procedures
  • Support performance of validation and verification testing of PLC based control systems
  • Troubleshoot and correct malfunctions using specialized test and diagnostic equipment
  • Make recommendations for improvements or modifications to correct problems
  • Track issues identified in test or deployment to resolution through the product lifecycle
  • Prepare operating and malfunction reports and related documentation
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
  • 5 or more years of experience with control systems in industrial, maritime, or defense environments
  • Experience with development and testing of Rockwell PLC based control systems
  • Ability to read and interpret ladder logic diagrams
  • Familiarity with computer network protocols such as TCP/IP and UPD
  • Basic electrical principles to include understanding the difference between current and voltage and how to effectively troubleshoot circuits containing them
  • Ability to read electrical schematics
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel, Word, and Outlook)
  • Attention to detail and meticulous logging of testing, troubleshooting steps, and findings
Special Requirements
  • Candidates must have an active government security clearance or the ability to obtain security clearance
  • Travel Requirements: Travel to be up to 25%
