Control Systems Test Engineer

Noblis MSD is seeking a skilled Controls Test Engineer to work on advanced ship steering control systems for the US Navy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in control systems, electrical engineering, or a related field, with experience in maritime applications.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive lab and onsite testing of ship steering control systems
- Develop and execute rigorous test plans
- Perform system integration tests
- Analyze and document test results
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
- Contribute to technical documentation
- Support fleet implementation and fielding
- Provide design and equipment acquisition support
- Recommend system enhancements based on test results
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a closely related field
- Three (3) years minimum technical experience in architecting and designing electrical / mechanical systems
- Strong understanding of control theory
- Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and maintenance
- Proficiency in troubleshooting lab and system hardware
- General Windows OS experience (Installation, Configuration, Troubleshooting)
- Understanding of Configuration Management concepts and lockdowns
- CompTIA Security+ certification (must be obtained within 6 months of hiring if not already held)
- DOD Secret clearance preferred or the ability to obtain a clearance
- Ability to travel up to 25% to various fleet locations and facilities
- PLC knowledge and programming experience
- Familiarity with maritime systems and naval operations
- Experience with US Navy Environmental Qualification Testing (EQT)
- C/C++ programming skills
