Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Control Systems Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining control system designs for our nuclear power plants.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain project-specific functional requirements and diagrams for PWR and BWR plants.
- Develop and maintain project-specific simulation models using ACSL/Matlab.
- Perform and document project-specific design analyses using simulation models.
- Document SWIL Test Guideline documents.
- Perform Pre-SWIL activities to support Software Implementation, including working with project hardware/software WEC team members.
- Perform SWIL testing activities with customers using simulation models.
- Mechanical Engineer, Chemical Engineer, or Nuclear Engineering degree.
- At least 5 years of experience in Westinghouse PWR and GE BWR plant design analysis.
- Experience with computer simulations based on first principles and using codes such as Matlab, LOFTRAN, RETRAN, ACSL, or other simulation codes.
- Interest/passion in control system design, simulation models, and I&C design.
- Familiarity with electronics and/or computers.
