Position Overview:

CRD Careers is collaborating with a prominent player in the Building Materials sector to find a Territory Sales Executive.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Territory Sales Executive, you will:
  • Formulate and implement a targeted sales strategy to enhance business prospects and consistently meet or surpass sales objectives.
  • Employ effective territory management to optimize sales activities and efficiently allocate time, ensuring a balanced approach between Architecture & Design (A&D) and Distribution.
  • Anticipate travel commitments, with overnight stays expected approximately 50% of the time.
  • Work closely with the Sales Director and Inside Sales Representative to amplify sales initiatives.
  • Monitor Weekly Quote Reports to improve the quote-to-order conversion rate.
  • Engage in daily prospecting to identify new lead opportunities.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key decision-makers, including owners, architects, designers, general contractors, and subcontractors, to maximize sales potential and closing ratios.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource for all Shade customers, providing technical support, product suggestions, and specifications.
  • Conduct competitive analysis on both regional and global scales.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of your territory, including project specifics and the competitive landscape, to enhance closing ratios and profitability.
  • Ensure efficient office practices for optimal time management, planning, and reporting, maintaining accurate and up-to-date account records.
  • Utilize and manage all sales data systems and available construction reporting tools.
  • Deliver AIA CEU Lunch presentations (minimum of 6 annually) across the region.
  • Exhibit a strong commitment and enthusiasm for achieving success daily.

Qualifications:
  • A college degree is preferred, or equivalent experience in the field.
  • Demonstrated success in sales, particularly in a business-to-business context, with a focus on prospecting and business development.
  • Extensive experience in construction sales, with a preference for candidates with window coverings sales experience.
  • A proven history of achieving sales growth and collaborating effectively within a team.
  • Self-motivated with exceptional problem-solving abilities, capable of working independently as well as contributing as a valued team member.
  • Strong listening, probing, and closing skills, complemented by professional verbal and written communication capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (word processing, spreadsheets, databases, email).
  • Ability to adapt swiftly and positively to organizational growth and changes.
  • Willingness to reside within the designated region or relocate within an agreed timeframe.
