Job Summary

The Hotel Front Desk Supervisor is a key member of the Front Office team, responsible for ensuring exceptional guest service and maximizing room revenue during overnight hours. This role requires a strong ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support Guest Services personnel to ensure efficient and courteous service to guests.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including house charge worksheets and flash reports.
  • Analyze rate efficiency, monitor credit reports, and maintain close observation of daily house count to maximize room revenue.
  • Attend Rooms Merchandizing meetings to establish select sell guidelines and implement restrictions.
  • Ensure proper cash handling procedures at the Front Desk.
  • Develop employee morale and ensure training of Guest Services personnel.
  • Maintain Aimbridge Hospitality standards and policies regarding purchase orders, vouchering of invoices, and checkbook accounting.
  • Review and analyze daily Front Office work and activity reports generated by Night Audit.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field; or a 2-year college degree and 2 or more years of related experience; or a 4-year college degree and at least 1 year of related experience.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must be proficient in Windows operating systems, Company-approved spreadsheets, and word processing.
  • Must have a valid driver's license from the applicable state.
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
  • Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
  • Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
  • Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.

Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
