The Bell/Valet Attendant plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless arrival and departure of our guests at Loews New Orleans Hotel. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, handling their luggage and belongings with care, and ensuring that they have a memorable experience at our hotel.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist guests with their luggage and belongings, providing a high level of service and courtesy at all times.
- Handle all luggage, baggage, and packages with care and safely, ensuring that they are stored in a secure area.
- Room arriving guests and assist guests who are checking in, adhering to hotel standards.
- Ensure that all luggage and bags are in a safe and secure area while awaiting transfer.
- Be familiar with all room types, room amenities, and hotel facilities, providing information to hotel guests.
- Be familiar with hotel emergency procedures and provide necessary information to hotel guests.
- Handle guest inquiries professionally and with the utmost courtesy and accuracy.
- Answer the telephone in accordance with Loews Hotels Star Service standards.
- Become familiar with guests' names and acknowledge guests by name.
- Provide guests with hotel and surrounding area information and travel directions.
- Promote hotel facilities, food and beverage outlets, and recreation programs.
- Transport guests to/from recreation areas in a safe and timely manner.
- Make use of a handheld computer for check-in purposes.
- Handle master keys with care and follow proper sign-in/out procedures following key control and security procedures.
- Maintain the condition of the hotel lobby, picking up any trash or debris, and contacting Housekeeping for major cleaning tasks.
- Maintain a good working relationship with all hotel departments, with special emphasis on Front Desk, Valet Parking, Concierge, and Housekeeping.
- Stand at post when not on a "Front" or "Last".
- Be alert to guests who appear to be intoxicated and intend to drive a vehicle, notifying Security.
- Read and initial all entries in the Front Desk Log Book and all information on the Front Desk Bulletin Board.
- Read Group Profiles and Banquet Event information on a daily basis.
- Maintain the cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work area.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Maintain cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work area.
- Comply with hotel standards, policies, and rules.
- Recycle whenever possible.
- Remain current with hotel information and changes.
- Comply with hotel uniform and grooming standards.
