Position Overview
A postdoctoral research opportunity is currently available in the laboratory of Dr. Chandra Bartholomeusz within the Department of Breast Medical Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Research Focus
The laboratory specializes in investigating growth factor signaling pathways related to breast cancer metastasis. The research includes the development of innovative therapeutic agents utilizing both in vitro and in vivo models, particularly focusing on triple-negative and inflammatory breast cancer. Additionally, translational studies aim to advance pre-clinical agents into clinical applications for breast cancer patients.

Training Objectives
The selected candidate will engage in a comprehensive training program in biomedical research, aimed at fostering independence as a researcher. The trainee will also gain essential skills in writing grant proposals in collaboration with the Principal Investigator.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should possess a recent PhD or MD/PhD in biomedical science, along with at least two first-authored publications in reputable, peer-reviewed scientific journals. Experience in cell and tissue culture, fundamental techniques in molecular and cancer biology, and multiplex immunofluorescence data analysis is required. A willingness to work with live animal models is essential, and prior experience with in vivo surgical techniques and various injection methods is highly desirable.

The ideal candidate will be self-driven, detail-oriented, and a collaborative team member with a robust work ethic. Strong critical thinking, communication, organizational, and writing skills are necessary, along with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
