Position Overview
A postdoctoral research opportunity is currently available in the laboratory of Dr. Chandra Bartholomeusz within the Department of Breast Medical Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center.

The focus of the laboratory is on the signaling pathways related to growth factors in the context of breast cancer metastasis. The research involves the creation of innovative therapeutic agents through both in vitro and in vivo models, specifically targeting triple-negative and inflammatory breast cancer. Additionally, translational studies are conducted to facilitate the integration of pre-clinical agents into clinical applications for breast cancer patients.


Training Objectives
The selected candidate will undergo a thorough training program in biomedical research, aimed at fostering the development of independent research capabilities. The postdoctoral fellow will also gain essential skills in drafting grant proposals in collaboration with the Principal Investigator.

Candidate Qualifications
Applicants should possess a recent PhD or MD/PhD in biomedical sciences, accompanied by at least two first-authored publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals, focusing on areas such as cancer biology, molecular biology, or cell biology.

Experience in cell and tissue culture, fundamental molecular biology techniques, and cancer biology is essential. Proficiency in multiplex immunofluorescence data analysis and a readiness to work with live animal models are also required. Prior experience with in vivo procedures, including surgical techniques and various injection methods, is highly desirable.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate self-motivation, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Excellent critical thinking, communication, organizational, and writing skills are mandatory.

Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities are crucial for this role.
