Capital One is seeking a seasoned communications professional to join our Corporate Reputation team within Corporate Communications. As a key member of our Issues and Crisis Communications team, you will provide strategic counsel to executives, drive alignment with stakeholders, and execute communications plans to build and protect our corporate reputation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute crisis communications plans to mitigate potential reputation risk
  • Partner with business leaders to build and lead issues and crisis communication programs
  • Provide real-time counsel to executives and stakeholders on strategic communications
  • Drive engagement strategies to advance and protect our corporate reputation
  • Measure and analyze the impact of communications efforts on business outcomes
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or military experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in developing and implementing issues and crisis communications strategies
  • Proven track record of building and leading communications programs that drive business outcomes
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in English, Journalism, Mass Communications, Marketing, or Public Relations
  • At least 5 years of experience in developing and implementing issues and crisis communications strategies
  • Experience working in financial services or other highly regulated industries
