POSITION SUMMARY:

The Lifestyle Services Facilitator plays a pivotal role in supporting the Director of Community Life Services in the strategic planning and execution of diverse activity and educational initiatives aimed at fulfilling the LCS Lifestyles and Health Services framework, as well as the 8 Dimensions of Wellness.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the organization and coordination of a variety of activities and events, including discussion groups, clubs, cultural programs, religious gatherings, entertainment, excursions, and educational courses such as arts and crafts, seminars, and workshops.
  • Manage the setup and breakdown of event spaces, ensuring a welcoming environment for all participants.
  • Support the preparation and distribution of monthly calendars, weekly reminders, event flyers, and newsletters to keep residents informed.
  • Oversee the procurement of supplies necessary for activities and events.
  • Facilitate the transportation of residents to and from on-site and off-site events.
  • Guide volunteer initiatives and provide necessary training to ensure effective support.
  • Maintain accurate records of resident participation in activities.
  • Research and identify upcoming events and excursions that align with resident interests.
  • Foster intergenerational programming and lifelong learning opportunities through creativity and strong organizational capabilities.
  • Coordinate transportation logistics with residents and health staff.
  • Input resident documentation into the EMR system.
  • Be flexible with work hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

  • Participate in training and educational sessions as required, including CPR, AED, and First Aid certification.
  • Perform other specific tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

COMPENSATION:

The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree.
  • CPR Certification or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Preferred experience in social or recreational programming.
  • Experience in geriatrics, recreation, or social administration is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and calendaring is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This role requires frequent standing, bending, and lifting, with the ability to carry up to 50 lbs. and assist residents weighing up to 250 lbs. in mobility devices. The position may involve exposure to various environmental factors.
