Position Overview:

The Senior Vice President of Operations is responsible for strategizing, organizing, and supervising all facets of agency support services and the overall management of these divisions. This role entails the development, oversight, and enhancement of functions within Human Resources, Information Technology, Quality Improvement, Communications, Facilities, and Transportation. The incumbent will ensure that all departmental operations deliver exceptional service quality to all stakeholders, including the Board of Directors, clients, employees, interns, and volunteers. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, this position will proactively address and provide guidance on related matters, including strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mentor, guide, and train staff and leadership on policies and procedures that align with the organization's vision and mission.
  • Engage in the strategic planning process for the agency's future development and growth, ensuring that service support aligns with these objectives.
  • Oversee Human Resources functions, ensuring compliance with internal policies and applicable laws and regulations. Maintain up-to-date HR policies that reflect the organization's culture, values, and mission.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of responsive, people-centered service standards within the organization.
  • Stay informed about national, regional, and local developments, as well as legal or regulatory changes that may affect service operations, ensuring the organization adapts and complies accordingly.
  • Guarantee organization-wide adherence to all laws and regulations related to IT, HR, Facilities, Communications, Transportation, and accreditation.
  • Facilitate effective communication and alignment across all areas of the agency.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of leadership experience, particularly in Human Resources, preferably within the nonprofit or social service sectors.
  • A Master's degree in Business Administration or a related field is required. SHRM-CP or SHRM-CSP certification is preferred.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the agency's mission, vision, and values.
  • Proven ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while effectively managing competing priorities with strong coordination and communication skills.
  • Exceptional leadership capabilities and advanced decision-making skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of individuals with patience and flexibility.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and experience with configuring HRIS systems.

The maximum salary for this position is $110,000. This role is primarily office-based, with the possibility of one remote workday per week.
