POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Community Engagement Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the Director of Community Life Services by overseeing the strategic planning and execution of diverse activity and educational initiatives tailored to fulfill the LCS Lifestyles and Health Services and the 8 Dimensions of Wellness.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in the organization and coordination of various activities and events, including discussion groups, clubs, cultural events, religious services, entertainment, off-site excursions, and instructional courses such as arts and crafts, seminars, and workshops.
- Prepare and distribute the monthly activity calendar, weekly reminders, event flyers, and newsletters.
- Manage the setup and breakdown of event spaces, ensuring all necessary equipment is in place.
- Support the procurement of supplies for activities as required.
- Facilitate resident transportation to and from on-site and off-site events.
- Oversee volunteer engagement and provide necessary training.
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation in activities.
- Research and plan upcoming events and trips.
- Foster intergenerational programming and lifelong learning opportunities through creativity and strong organizational skills.
- Input resident documentation into the EMR system.
- Be flexible with working hours, including evenings and weekends.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
- Participate in training and educational sessions as assigned, maintaining CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications.
- Perform other responsibilities as directed by the supervisor.

COMPENSATION:
The salary for this position is competitive at $28.00 per hour.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- CPR Certification or willingness to obtain certification.
- Preferred experience in social or recreational programming.
- Experience in geriatrics, recreation, or social administration is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and scheduling tools is required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This role requires frequent standing, bending, and lifting, with the ability to carry up to 50 lbs. and assist residents weighing up to 250 lbs. in mobility devices. Employees must be able to communicate effectively and maintain physical activity throughout the workday.
