Museum Store Associate Job Summary

The Getty Museum Store Associate plays a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and sales support to visitors. As a professional and outgoing sales associate, you will operate a POS system, handle cash transactions, and communicate effectively with customers. In addition, you will demonstrate knowledge of current museum exhibits, store merchandise, and museum layout.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist customers with orders and provide excellent customer service
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Demonstrate knowledge of products, current exhibitions, and store/museum policies
  • Prepare store and/or satellite locations for opening by restocking merchandise and providing general housekeeping
  • Maintain store throughout the day
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1-2 years retail experience, preferably in a museum, specialty, or book store
