About the Role:
The ELA/Social Studies Curriculum Innovator will play a vital role in enhancing our CapX Lab's interdisciplinary and project-based learning experiences. This position emphasizes the integration of social-emotional learning (SEL) within the curriculum, fostering a dynamic and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adaptive Instruction: Embrace innovative teaching methods to ensure all students benefit from the CapX educational model.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to promote interdisciplinary learning experiences.
  • Social-Emotional Learning: Incorporate SEL strategies into daily lessons, fostering positive relationships with students.
  • Content Delivery: Provide diverse learning experiences both in the classroom and community settings, maintaining a strong grasp of grade-level standards.
  • Classroom Management: Establish effective routines for various learning environments, ensuring consistent and quality instruction.

Additional Duties:

  • Facilitate educational trips to enhance learning experiences.
  • Conduct Morning Meeting lessons as part of the teaching team.
  • Adapt curriculum materials for ELA and Social Studies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proven ability to innovate in instructional practices.
  • Understanding of social-emotional learning principles.
  • Effective classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional growth.
