Job Title: Operations Coordinator

Africatown Community Land Trust is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Operations Coordinator to provide administrative support to the Operations Manager. The successful candidate will have a strong entrepreneurial spirit and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

About Us

Africatown Community Land Trust is working towards community ownership of land in the Central District, supporting the cultural and economic thriving of people from the African diaspora in the Greater Seattle area.

Job Summary

The Operations Coordinator will provide administrative support for organizational effectiveness, including managing calendars and scheduling, files and team meeting schedules, reviewing and preparing confidential correspondence, reports, and presentations.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement administrative process workflows for file management and network operations
  • Complete special projects focused on organizational development
  • Assist with new hire setup and volunteer coordination
  • Serve as backup point of contact and perform transactional components of administrative functions
  • Organize and maintain accurate records, files, and documents
  • Assist with timely annual report and business license filings
  • Assist in project management and establish professional working relationships with community leaders and stakeholders
  • Support members of the Leadership team on projects as needed
  • Attend and support ACLT community events
  • Take meeting minutes and perform other administrative duties as assigned
Requirements
  • AA degree or equivalent education and experience
  • Two years of administrative support experience
  • Superior organizational, verbal, written, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated high proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Google Docs, and other productivity software
  • Solid knowledge of office management coordination and implementing efficient office systems
  • Ability to interact with staff in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively with people of diverse personalities, cultures, and communication styles
  • Ability to work independently and with precise judgment in a wide array of situations
Preferred Qualifications
  • BA degree or equivalent education and experience
