Job Title: Restaurant General Manager

As a Restaurant General Manager with WKS Restaurant Group, you will be responsible for leading a team of management and hourly employees to achieve sales and profit goals, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction, and following company policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the business of a restaurant, including sales and profit planning, guest satisfaction, and company policy adherence.
  • Supervise management team and hourly crew members, including recruitment, interviewing, and selection.
  • Responsible for achieving restaurant sales and profit plan, analyzing operating statements, and taking corrective action to improve results.
  • Ensure operations of the restaurant comply with all requirements of the El Pollo Loco Operations Manual.
  • Communicate product deficiencies to District Manager and ensure exceptional guest satisfaction through effective and efficient service and a clean and pleasant environment.
  • Responsible for personnel administration, including maintaining records, employee documentation, appraising performance, administering merit increases, and proper timekeeping procedures.
  • Ensure the restaurant is in full compliance with appropriate local, state, and federal regulations governing health, sanitation, and safety.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of one year management experience in the hospitality business.
  • High school degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to effectively speak, read, and write in English.

Physical Requirements:
  • Extensive standing without breaks.
  • Exposure to heat, steam, smoke, and cold.
  • Reaching heights of approximately 6 feet and bending to touch the floor.
  • Must have high level of mobility/flexibility in space provided.
  • Must be able to work irregular hours and under heavy pressure/stress during busy times.
