Role Overview...

The Senior Accountant will play a pivotal role in the preparation of monthly financial analysis reports, the development and maintenance of budgets for different cost centers, and the generation of revenue and cost reports. The ideal candidate will also gather relevant information for third-party audits and operational support while assisting operational staff with accounting-related inquiries.

Key Responsibilities...
  • Record daily cash transactions.
  • Process weekly credit card transactions.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting Department to ensure timely and accurate month-end close procedures.
  • Conduct reconciliations for various balance sheet and income statement accounts.
  • Manage the Company's fixed asset sub-ledger and related financial reporting.
  • Prepare ad hoc analyses as requested by the CFO to support operations and finance.
  • Assist the CFO, Controller, and Accountant in compiling monthly investor and bank reporting packages.
  • Generate weekly KPIs by division and region for management reporting.
  • Support the year-end audit and tax compliance processes.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses to assist the Company's operations and finance teams.
  • Extract and manipulate data from proprietary construction and accounting software.
  • Produce weekly/monthly reports from various software systems.
  • Perform other related duties and assignments as necessary.
Qualifications...
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • One to two years of experience in private or public accounting, or two years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in advanced Excel and data analysis skills (including pivot tables and complex formulas).
  • Experience with cloud-based accounting systems (experience with Acumatica is a significant advantage).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated honesty, trustworthiness, proactivity, and self-motivation.
  • Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Energetic and hands-on approach to tackling various tasks.
  • Technologically adept and proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Capability to compile, interpret, and summarize large data sets using Excel.
  • Organized, self-driven, and possessing strong communication skills to collaborate with a large accounting team and the Company's operational divisions.
  • Ability to take ownership of assigned responsibilities with support from the Controller, CFO, and Accountant.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify and communicate issues clearly and concisely.
