The Senior Finance Specialist will play a crucial role in the preparation of monthly financial analysis reports, the development and maintenance of budgets across different cost centers, and the generation of revenue and cost reports. The ideal candidate will also gather essential information for third-party audits and provide operational support on accounting matters.

Key Responsibilities...
  • Record daily cash transactions.
  • Process weekly credit card transactions.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting Department to ensure timely and accurate month-end accounting close.
  • Conduct reconciliations of various balance sheet and income statement accounts.
  • Manage the Company's fixed asset sub-ledger and related financial reporting.
  • Prepare ad hoc analyses as requested by the CFO to support operations and finance.
  • Assist the CFO, Controller, and Accountant in the preparation of monthly investor and bank reporting packages.
  • Compile weekly KPIs by division and region for management reporting.
  • Support the year-end audit and tax compliance processes.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses to support the Company's operations and finance team.
  • Extract and manipulate data from proprietary construction and accounting software.
  • Generate weekly/monthly reports from various software systems.
  • Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
Qualifications...
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • One to two years of experience in private or public accounting, or two years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in advanced Excel and data analysis skills (including pivot tables and complex formulas).
  • Experience with cloud-based accounting systems (experience with Acumatica is a significant advantage).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated honesty, trustworthiness, proactivity, and self-motivation.
  • Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possess an energetic, hands-on approach to tackle any task.
  • Technologically adept and proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to compile, interpret, and summarize large datasets using Excel.
  • Organized, self-motivated, and strong communication skills are essential for collaboration with a large accounting team and the Company's operational divisions.
  • Capability to take ownership of assigned responsibilities with support from the Controller, CFO, and Accountant.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and communicate issues clearly and concisely.
