Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our production support team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of manufacturing processes and systems to ensure high-quality products are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of manufacturing processes and systems to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and cost reductions.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including process procedures, work instructions, and training materials.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to production personnel to ensure compliance with manufacturing processes and procedures.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve production issues.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to identify and implement process improvements and cost reductions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years' experience.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical drawing interpretation, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Proficiency with CAD solid modeling tools (preference for CREO/ProE) and/or simulation tools.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Manufacturing/Enterprise Resource Planning (MRP/ERP) tools and systems (ie PRISM/SAP).
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Manufacturing Shop Floor Management tools and systems (ie cMES).
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Product Data Management tools and systems (ie Windchill/PDM).
  • Experience with military and industry standards.
  • Experience with conducting safety/ergonomic assessments.
  • Familiarity with standard material handling practices, especially as they pertain to Electrostatic Discharge mitigation requirements.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Powerpoint, Project, Word, etc ).
  • Proven written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented individual with an ability to work in a team environment and with minimal direct supervision.
  • Demonstrated hands-on mechanical aptitude with the ability to work across disciplines.
  • Innovative mindset that drives continuous improvement and keeps pace with advances in technology.
  • Excellent organizational skills with fine attention to detail and an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
