About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Operations Quality Engineer to join our Effectors Operations Quality - Circuit Card Manufacturing team at Raytheon Technologies. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring product and process quality, with a focus on product compliance, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement quality metrics to drive true root cause and long-term corrective action
  • Lead cross-functional teams in systematic improvement activities, such as 6-sigma and lean manufacturing
  • Collaborate with shop floor personnel and manufacturing defect prevention teams to ensure alignment on top priorities
  • Perform process walks, operator observations, and lead manufacturing team discussions to drive process enhancements
  • Develop and implement Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) initiatives, including PFMEA, control plans, and SPC
  • Integrate product and process verifications, such as First Articles and audits, to prevent quality escapes and optimize throughput
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of experience in quality/manufacturing engineering
  • Advanced degree and 3 years of experience in quality/manufacturing engineering
  • Experience in first article inspection reports (FAIRs), quality monitoring, and leading root cause corrective actions
  • Experience in manufacturing process knowledge with Quality systems and industry technical standards (ISO 9001, AS9100, and/or AS9102)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong familiarity with J-STD-001, ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9201, Six Sigma, and Customer Oriented Results and Excellence (CORE)
  • Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)/AS9145 and associated tools
  • Experience with SAP/PRISM or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools
  • Experience with circuit card assembly processes
