About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer II to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our Circuit Card Assembly Factory in Andover, MA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the operation of SMT Process lines, including automated and programmable equipment, for multiple products.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives, establishment of process baseline metrics, SPC implementation, defect prevention, and process data analysis.
  • Develop and oversee projects using risk management techniques, translating engineering design requirements into formal manufacturing process documentation, and computer and machine programming for manufacturing automation.
  • Lead root cause and corrective action investigations to solve problems and prevent recurrence, and participate in process improvement and cost reduction initiatives using Lean Manufacturing methodology.
  • Conduct safety and ergonomic assessments, and interact with senior personnel on technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations and/or suppliers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in applying Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Knowledge and experience with ANSI J-STD-001 Class 3 & IPC-CC-830.
  • Experience supporting circuit card assembly production floor, (process and/or quality focus).
  • Specialized tooling development (Jigs, Fixtures, Specialized Packaging Development).
