Role Summary:

The Heavy Equipment Transport Operator is responsible for the safe loading, transportation, and unloading of equipment, materials, and earth products. This role involves operating various vehicles, including dump trucks, while also engaging in general labor tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a range of vehicles for hauling, loading, and unloading materials to and from job sites.
  • Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure operational safety.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on assigned vehicles and equipment.
  • Adhere to all industry-required Operator Qualifications.
  • Execute tasks as directed by supervisory personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • High School diploma or equivalent education.
  • Previous experience operating equipment in close proximity to people and structures.
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations relevant to commercial vehicles.

Work Environment:

Work is primarily conducted outdoors, often in varying weather conditions. All safety instructions are provided in English, and fluency is required. Physical demands include lifting (up to 50 lbs), standing, climbing, kneeling, reaching, and working in proximity to heavy machinery.

Legal Requirements:

Applicants must pass pre-employment drug screenings, provide valid work authorization documents, and meet satisfactory background check results. A clean driving record and the ability to obtain a DOT medical card are also required.
