Job Description
The Philadelphia Inquirer is seeking an experienced Sales Director - Advertising Revenue Growth to drive revenue growth through strategic sales initiatives, manage key client relationships, and identify new business opportunities. With a proven track record of success in advertising sales, the ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the media landscape, exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills, and a strong ability to grow new business.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
  • Use a consultative approach to sell advertising on assigned categories and accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, advertising agencies, and industry partners.
  • Manage agency coverage and relations, ensuring strong partnerships and maximizing advertising opportunities.
  • Identify new business opportunities and market trends to drive revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling advertising solutions that meet client needs.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, providing regular reports and insights to senior management.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year
Requirements:
  • 6+ years experience in multi-platform advertising sales with a track record of reaching or exceeding sales targets.
  • Expert knowledge of products across print, digital, programmatic, events, content marketing, newsletters, and social media.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships, influence, and navigate within a complex organization.
  • Proven ability to grow new business and find new revenue opportunities.
  • Excellent ability to organize, prioritize, and multi-task.
  • Can model positive energy and handle stress in the face of challenges.
