About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Governance Specialist to join our team at The Copper River Family of Companies. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in supporting our clients in the Federal government sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cyber Workforce Development: Provide analysis and consulting on cyber workforce development, aligning recommendations to the NIST National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) Framework.
  • Process Improvement: Review mission objectives and priorities, recommending improvements to tailor processes to a Federal Cybersecurity Program.
  • Onboarding and Access Management: Review the onboarding process for both client and contractor personnel, providing recommendations to streamline the process and creating a role-based matrix (access to data types) of the cyber workforce.
  • ATO and POA&M Management: Lead customer Approvals to Operate (ATOs) for software services and applications from initiation to approval via the customers stage gate and iterative process.
  • Security Assessments and Audits: Participate in security assessments and audits for assigned IT systems as required.
  • Technical Cybersecurity Expertise: Provide technical cybersecurity expertise on IT operational projects throughout the Software Development Lifecycle.
Requirements
  • Clearance: Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or prior, relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years' experience, with experience reviewing the onboarding process for both client and contractor personnel, streamlining processes, creating role-based workforce matrixes, producing quality documentation, working with Federal government clients, and leading IT & Cybersecurity based ATOs.
  • Preferred Skills: Cyber Security knowledge and experience, SharePoint knowledge and experience, Microsoft 365 knowledge and experience, Platform and data migration knowledge and experience, Cloud knowledge and experience, and strong analytical skills.
