Position Overview- Specialty: Radiology Technologist

Role Summary:
As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for delivering diagnostic imaging services in a clinical environment, while also performing necessary administrative tasks. Your work will contribute to a collaborative team atmosphere and align with the mission and values of Kaiser Permanente Northwest.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting diagnostic radiological procedures using advanced imaging equipment. This includes routine, emergency, portable, surgical, and fluoroscopic examinations, adhering to departmental protocols.
- Managing image processing and utilizing the current Radiology Information System (RIS) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS). Collaborating with radiologists for film quality assurance and exam clarifications as needed.
- Handling patient transport, filing tasks, and maintaining inventory of supplies. Responsible for patient registration and scheduling.
- Participating in an on-call or standby schedule as required. Additional duties may be assigned.
- Experience: N/A
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Licensure and Certification: Registered Radiologic Technologist (Washington) or Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License (Oregon) is necessary.
- Basic Life Support certification within one month of hire.
- Radiologic Technologist Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists is required at the time of hire.
- Daily operation of diagnostic imaging equipment and healthcare computer systems.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with all staff members.
- Proficient understanding of radiology equipment and procedures for fluoroscopy, DXA, surgical, portable, and routine radiographic exams.
- Experience in performing general radiographic exams with digital technology within the last three years.
- Strong organizational skills, including time management, prioritization, and attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to policies and procedures and demonstrate flexibility.
- Familiarity with McKesson PACS and EPIC electronic medical records systems.
- An Associate's degree in Radiologic Science or a related field is preferred.
