RAYUS Radiology is seeking a Float Radiologic Technologist to enhance our services. We are redefining the radiology field by emphasizing its importance in diagnosis and treatment. As a Radiologic Technologist, your primary responsibility will be to operate designated imaging equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients. You will adopt a patient-focused approach, delivering Radiologic services that adhere to professional standards while ensuring exceptional customer care. Patients visit our facilities seeking clarity and answers; your role will involve guiding them through the process with empathy, addressing their inquiries and concerns regarding imaging procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
(90%) Patient Imaging Services
- Conducts patient screenings prior to examinations, ensuring safety and accuracy through the use of two patient identifiers.
- Prepares and educates patients about the imaging procedures, detailing the process and positioning them correctly for optimal results.
- Executes routine and advanced imaging techniques on specified body areas for physician review in diagnosing and treating medical conditions, minimizing the need for repeat scans while providing reassurance to patients throughout the procedure.
- Adjusts imaging parameters as necessary, employing dose reduction strategies when applicable.
- Fosters positive relationships with radiologists, referring physicians, and colleagues.
- Adheres strictly to physician directives and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
- Maintains accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Keeps the work environment organized and clean, promoting safety for patients and colleagues.
- Ensures compliance with ACR standards and maintains accreditation requirements.
- Maintains imaging equipment in optimal condition, performing cleaning and disinfection after each use.
- Ensures adherence to all HIPAA regulations.
- Operates a Fluoroscopy C-Arm during surgical and outpatient procedures.
(5%) Departmental Support
- Assists in the upkeep of an updated imaging protocol manual and software enhancements.
- Monitors and manages medical supply inventory, placing orders as needed.
- Contributes to the training of new staff, offering guidance and technical support as required.
(5%) Additional Responsibilities
- Completes other duties as assigned.
