The compensation range for this role is $24.23- $35.50, depending on relevant experience.

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a Float Radiologic Technologist to enhance our operations. We are redefining the radiology landscape, making it an essential component in diagnosis and treatment. As a Radiologic Technologist, your primary responsibility will be to operate assigned imaging equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients. With a focus on patient care, you will deliver Radiologic services adhering to professional standards while ensuring exceptional customer service. Each patient arrives at our facilities seeking clarity; you will support them through this process by clearly explaining procedures and addressing their inquiries and concerns.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

(90%) Patient Imaging Services

  • Conducts patient screenings prior to examinations to identify any precautions or contraindications, utilizing two patient identifiers to confirm the correct patient and procedure.
  • Prepares and educates patients on Radiologic imaging procedures, ensuring proper positioning for optimal imaging.
  • Executes routine and advanced imaging procedures on specified body areas for diagnostic purposes, minimizing the need for repeat scans while providing continuous patient support.
  • Adjusts imaging parameters accurately as required, employing dose reduction techniques where applicable.
  • Fosters positive relationships with radiologists, referring physicians, and colleagues.
  • Adheres strictly to physician directives and safety protocols to safeguard yourself, patients, and coworkers.
  • Maintains accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Keeps the work area organized and clean, promoting safety for patients and staff.
  • Ensures compliance with ACR toolkit and accreditation standards.
  • Maintains imaging equipment in optimal condition, performing cleaning and disinfection after each use.
  • Complies with all HIPAA regulations.
  • Operates a Fluoroscopy C-Arm during surgical and outpatient procedures.

(5%) Departmental Support

  • Assists in updating imaging protocol manuals and software enhancements.
  • Monitors inventory of medical supplies and requests replenishments as needed.
  • Contributes to the training of new staff, offering resources and technical guidance as appropriate.

(5%) Additional Responsibilities

Completes other assigned tasks as necessary.
