Position Overview

The compensation for this role ranges from $24.23 to $35.50, depending on relevant experience.

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a Float Radiologic Technologist to enhance our operations. We are redefining the field of radiology, emphasizing its vital role in diagnosis and treatment. As a Radiologic Technologist, your primary responsibility will be to operate imaging equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients. With a focus on patient care, you will deliver Radiologic services adhering to professional standards while ensuring exceptional customer service. Each patient visits our facilities seeking clarity, and you will support them through this process by providing clear explanations and addressing their concerns regarding the imaging procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

(90%) Patient Imaging Services

  • Conducts patient screenings prior to examinations, utilizing two identifiers to confirm patient identity and procedure accuracy.
  • Communicates with patients to prepare them for imaging procedures, detailing the process and positioning them correctly for optimal imaging.
  • Executes routine and advanced imaging procedures on specified body areas, aiding physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions with minimal supervision.
  • Adjusts imaging parameters as necessary, applying dose reduction techniques appropriately.
  • Fosters positive relationships with radiologists, referring physicians, and colleagues.
  • Adheres strictly to physician directives and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
  • Maintains accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Keeps the work area organized and clean, promoting safety for patients and colleagues.
  • Ensures compliance with ACR toolkit and accreditation standards.
  • Maintains imaging equipment in optimal condition, cleaning and disinfecting after each use.
  • Complies with all HIPAA regulations.
  • Operates a Fluoroscopy C-Arm during surgical and outpatient procedures.

(5%) Departmental Support

  • Assists in updating imaging protocol manuals and implementing software upgrades.
  • Monitors inventory of medical supplies and requests replenishments as needed.
  • Contributes to the training of new staff, offering guidance and technical expertise.

(5%) Additional Responsibilities

  • Completes other assigned tasks as necessary.
