As a pivotal member of our IT Operations division within the Corporate Finance Organization, the Financial Planning & Analysis Lead plays a crucial role in enhancing financial clarity for IT leadership.

The IT Operations team is dedicated to delivering financial insights to IT leaders, business executives, finance professionals, and other essential stakeholders across the organization.

In this position, you will be responsible for comprehending departmental, segmental, and organizational strategies and operational goals, along with their interconnections to related sectors.

Your expertise will be instrumental in assessing the financial ramifications of proposed investments or transactions, enabling senior management to weigh alternatives against the organization's strategic objectives.

The Financial Planning & Analysis Lead collaborates with various team members in IT and across different leadership levels to enhance the accuracy of projections and budgeting.

This role also involves describing and employing the tools, technologies, applications, and methodologies utilized to gather, integrate, analyze, and present raw data, transforming it into insightful and actionable information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather, verify, and analyze financial data and economic indicators to inform strategic and operational decisions regarding acquisitions, investments, capital expenditures, divestitures, mergers, or asset sales.
  • Present findings to senior management on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
  • Evaluate the financial implications of proposed investments or transactions.
  • Analyze industry, economic, financial, and market trends to project the organization's short, medium, and long-term financial and competitive standing.
  • Conduct analyses on expenses, costs, investments, cash flow, profits, labor market trends, inflation, interest rates, and exchange rates, which may include financial modeling, reporting, and budgeting.
  • Advise executives in developing functional strategies on significant matters.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership on business case analyses and return on investment assessments.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in finance and/or accounting.
  • Proven experience leading teams and initiatives.
  • Experience advising senior leadership on financial strategies.
  • Knowledge of complex accounting and financial transactions for both internal and external reporting.
  • Ability to develop methods and criteria for measuring and summarizing data for intricate analyses.
  • Proficient in leading and managing special projects that require cross-functional collaboration.
  • Exceptional executive-level communication skills.
  • Ability to work remotely, while accommodating EST/CST time zones.
  • Willingness to travel as required by business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a finance/accounting role within an IT organization or supporting IT expenditures.
  • Management of capitalized technology labor costs and ledger/balance sheet treatment.
  • Familiarity with Apptio or application TCO.
  • Experience in transformation management related to project financials.
  • Knowledge of Oracle and/or Oracle Projects.
  • A Master's Degree in Business Administration or CPA is strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience in the health insurance industry within finance/accounting.

The work arrangement for this position will be hybrid for those living within a commutable distance to the office, while fully remote options are available for those outside this area, with the requirement to work within the EST or CST time zones.
