Financial Analyst for Construction Projects

- Prepare and evaluate monthly variance analyses and cost reports, including updates on forecasts.
- Collaborate with project managers to gain insights into project scope and cost determinants.
- Manage all project-related invoices and facilitate their payment through the corporate office.
- Maintain and update the project cost report regularly.
- Stay updated on schedule modifications and their implications on project scopes and forecasts to assist the project team.
- Conduct independent research and compile information for designated special projects.
- Oversee and refresh various records and documentation systems.
- Aid in the preparation of monthly variance analyses for internal reporting.
- Organize project files systematically.
- Generate internal invoices for submission as needed for monthly draw requests.
- Create purchase requisitions, liaise with Purchasing for order issuance, and develop change orders.
- Support document control tasks, including receiving and issuing documents through specified systems.
- Represent the office professionally to both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear and concise communication tailored to the audience.
- Responsibilities also include preparing expense reports, establishing invoicing and accounts, allocating invoices to appropriate general ledger accounts, and reconciling monthly charges.
- Foster and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues within the company and on projects.
- Comprehend all commercial obligations outlined in agreements for assigned projects to ensure financial statements reflect anticipated outcomes.
- Undertake additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
- A four-year degree in accounting or finance is preferred; relevant experience will be considered.
- Proficiency in cost analysis, budgeting, and forecasting is essential.
- A strong business acumen combined with solid accounting knowledge is required.
- Ability to operate with minimal supervision while adhering to established procedures with a keen attention to detail.
- Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment, managing priorities, and multitasking effectively.
- Skilled in handling sensitive information and navigating potentially challenging situations.
- Experience with PeopleSoft and Coupa is preferred but not mandatory.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.
- Strong interpersonal skills; results-driven; capable of working independently and collaboratively.
- A self-starter with initiative and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism is expected.
