Job Summary

G R Birdwell Construction is seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join their team. As a Concrete Finisher, you will be responsible for carrying out assignments related to concrete placement, finishing, curing, and cutting based on the proper selection of equipment, materials, and finishing sequence needed to deliver an acceptable end product.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Establishes finish grade during the pour of the slabs
  • Performs concrete placement and finishing, including placing, finishing, curing, and cutting of concrete slabs, patching and repairing of concrete work, concrete restoration, concrete joint treatments, and applications of floor toppings
  • Ensures floor finishes meet project requirements consistent with FF/FL terminology
  • Proficient in the use of various tools and equipment, including straight edges, bull floats, mops, and hand tools for floor finishing, edging, and joint tooling
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all tools and equipment required and ensures proper maintenance of place/finish equipment and tools

Requirements

  • Must be willing to work in all kinds of weather and working conditions
  • Must be willing to assume the physical risks of working in an outdoor environment
  • Must have ability to exert physical effort, handling average weight objects up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to pass hair follicle drug screen and background check
