COLSA Corporation is actively seeking qualified candidates for the role of Test Engineer specializing in C4ISR Systems.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated professional to join an integrated product team focused on the development and evaluation of cutting-edge concepts that enhance network capabilities for the US Air Force. This role demands a proactive individual who can thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic testing environment. The position supports critical testing efforts at Hanscom AFB.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the USAF's developmental test and evaluation (DT&E) of innovative and updated Command, Control, Communications, Intelligence Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) systems, adhering to established government-approved testing protocols.
  • Oversee the execution of Information Technology (IT) and network infrastructure development tests.
  • Engage in test planning and execution, data collection and analysis, and evaluation of system effectiveness, culminating in comprehensive test reporting.
  • Provide support for system performance requirements, define test objectives, and develop detailed testing methodologies and procedures.
  • Review technical specifications and system design documents, leading test planning meetings and technical discussions.
  • Evaluate programmatic documents, including test and evaluation master plans and qualification test procedures.
  • Collaborate with system program offices to establish testing methods and objectives for newly developed or modified C4ISR systems.
  • Coordinate with internal and external testing communities to arrange necessary resources and facilities.
  • Define data collection requirements and work with instrumentation personnel to ensure comprehensive data gathering.
  • Brief team members on mission objectives and responsibilities for executing integration lab and other testing events.
  • Conduct and manage system testing activities to achieve defined objectives.
  • Analyze test data to assess system performance and identify deficiencies, producing technical reports to document findings.
  • Offer technical guidance and support to military test directors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 3-8 years of applicable experience, or an Associate's degree with 7-12 years of experience, or a High School Diploma with 10-16 years of experience.
  • Experience with airborne network infrastructures, information technology, or C4ISR systems is essential.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps and Agile software development methodologies is required.
  • Ability to operate within system integration labs during testing activities.
  • US Citizenship is mandatory, along with an active DoD TOP SECRET clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain a SCI clearance.
  • Willingness to travel for meetings, site surveys, and testing as necessary.
  • Experience with modular software architecture and Cloud-native applications is advantageous.
