POSITION SUMMARY:

  • Responsible for accurately picking, packing, and dispatching materials and supplies to both internal and external clients in a timely manner; efficiently and safely manages the transportation, sorting, and storage of goods.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Utilizes appropriate tools and vehicles, such as hand dollies, forklifts, electric dollies, pallet jacks, and elevators, to transport incoming and outgoing materials to designated locations.
  • Conducts quality assessments on incoming and outgoing goods to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Organizes and places items on racks, shelves, or bins following established inventory protocols.
  • Picks, packs, and prepares products for shipment.
  • Handles all shipping processes, including the management of returned items.
  • Participates in physical inventory counts and replenishes stock from backup locations as necessary.
  • Maintains a clean and safe working environment.
  • Engages in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Completes necessary administrative tasks, including preparing reports and correspondence.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by management.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • One to two years of relevant experience or equivalent.
  • Experience operating forklifts.
  • Knowledge of shipping procedures and handling techniques.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong commitment to quality and high standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workflow effectively.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities with a positive attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Windows applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Regularly required to walk and stand.
  • Occasionally required to sit.
  • Continually required to use hand and finger dexterity.
  • Frequently required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, or crawl.
  • Consistently required to communicate verbally and audibly.
  • Regularly required to utilize visual acuity for equipment operation, reading technical information, and keyboard use.
  • Frequently required to lift, push, or carry items over 50 pounds.
  • Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts.
  • May work in high or precarious places and be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
  • Specialized equipment used includes forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers, and pallet jacks.

COMPENSATION: Competitive hourly wage between $18 and $22.
