Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Critical Care Transport Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Omaha Children's Hospital. As a critical care transport provider, you will be responsible for managing the care and transport of children from referring facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while accurately documenting patient responses and outcomes.
  • Utilize an advanced nursing process to manage the care and transport of children, including proficiency in flight and ambulance treatment modalities, altitude physiology, and emergency procedures.
  • Collaborate with physicians and referral teams to demonstrate strong leadership through nursing judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Maintain professional conduct and communication as an advocate for patients and families.
Requirements
  • APRN licensure in the State of Nebraska
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Critical Care
  • Previous Advanced Practice Provider experience in pediatrics preferred
  • Knowledge of physical, mental, developmental, emotional, and social needs of neonates, infants, toddlers, preschoolers, school-age children, and adolescents
  • Ability to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature, without loss of efficiency or composure
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with multiple disciplines
