Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) team. This role is designed for those who are passionate about pediatric critical care and are adept at functioning independently in a dynamic environment.


Work Schedule:
This is a casual position with flexible shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. You will have the opportunity to work either 12 or 24-hour shifts to maintain continuous coverage in the Pediatric ICU.

Essential Qualifications:
Nurse Practitioner:
- Master's degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of two years of RN experience or a combination of RN and nurse practitioner experience (two years of RN experience equates to one year of APRN experience).
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Nebraska or a compact state.
- Current licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN).
- Pediatric Acute (CPNP-AC) certification.


Physician Assistant:
- Master's degree from an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program or a bachelor's degree with ten years of active experience.
- Ability to maintain Continuing Medical Education (CME) hours to meet Nebraska state requirements and NCCPA certification.
- Current licensure as a Physician Assistant in Nebraska or eligibility for licensure prior to providing care.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Critical thinking and analytical capabilities.
- Proficiency in utilizing information systems and healthcare technology.
- Understanding of healthcare policies and factors influencing care delivery.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are mandatory.


Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in pediatric care is advantageous.
- Completion of the Pediatric Fundamental Critical Care Support (PFCCS) course is preferred.
