We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Beach Club Housekeeper to join our team at the La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our guest rooms, common areas, and public spaces.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and maintain guest rooms, including making beds, scrubbing bathroom floors and walls, and dusting furniture and lighting fixtures.
- Replenish supplies, such as coffee filters, paper towels, and linen, and replace light bulbs as needed.
- Clean and maintain public areas, including patios, furniture, and decks.
- Wash and sanitize kitchen dishes, pots, and utensils.
- Sweep, mop, and polish floors, and spot clean carpeted areas, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
- Wash walls, ceilings, and woodwork, and wash windows, door panels, and sills.
- Empty wastebaskets and ashtrays, and maintain the cleanliness and organization of carts, storage areas, and equipment.
- Adjust room status by phone when rooms are ready for guest occupancy.
- Report any maintenance problems to the supervisor.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information to customers, clients, and other employees.
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
The La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club is a dynamic and fast-paced work environment. As a Beach Club Housekeeper, you will be required to work in outside weather conditions and may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
BenefitsThe La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club offers a competitive compensation package, including a starting hourly rate of $20.50. We also offer benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a 401(k) plan. Additionally, employees are eligible for paid vacation, sick, and holiday time, and may be eligible for a $500 referral bonus for referring new employees to the La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club.
