Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Controls Engineer.

Compensation: Salary ranges from $111,000 to $135,000, contingent on experience and expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design of control systems from initial concept to completion, ensuring alignment with project specifications.
  • Utilize drafting software, preferably AutoCAD, for design purposes.
  • Collaborate with other project disciplines to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Optimize panel locations and system layouts to enhance efficiency and minimize voltage drop.
  • Oversee vendor engagements to ensure compliance with safety and functionality standards.
  • Ensure all designs meet local, governmental, and client-specific codes and standards.
  • Conduct technical risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Design safety-critical components within control systems.
  • Implement redundant systems to enhance safety and reliability.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation for system configuration and design, including operation descriptions, detailed design specifications, and maintenance plans.
  • Perform essential system design calculations and analyses, including short circuit protection and load flow.
  • Possess knowledge of ride system design for attractions, if applicable.
  • Support installation and commissioning phases, including flexible shift work as necessary.

Qualifications:

  1. Highly organized and technically proficient, with strong communication skills and experience in a multidisciplinary environment.
  2. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with relevant work experience.
  3. A minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably in ASTM standards, the attractions industry, and safety engineering.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office applications is required.
  5. Willingness to travel up to 30% as needed.

Physical Requirements:

Must possess the ability to see, hear, speak clearly, and perform physical tasks such as lifting, climbing, and operating equipment.

Work Environment:

Position requires presence at client locations five days a week, with a mix of standard office and diverse industrial settings. Frequent use of computers and communication devices is expected.
