Position Title: Controls Engineer

Compensation: Competitive salary ranging from $111,000 to $135,000, commensurate with experience and expertise.

Role Responsibilities:

This role entails overseeing electrical and controls engineering for large-scale projects. Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing control systems from the ground up, including hardware, software, and network components.
  • Creating electrical panel designs and conducting power calculations.
  • Performing risk assessments and selecting appropriate components.
  • Programming control systems and overseeing installation and commissioning processes.
  • Utilizing drafting software (preferably AutoCAD) for design purposes.
  • Collaborating with various project disciplines to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Optimizing panel locations to minimize voltage drop and enhance system efficiency.
  • Managing vendor engagements to ensure compliance with safety and functionality standards.
  • Documenting design processes and generating technical risk assessments.
  • Designing safety-critical components and implementing redundant systems for enhanced reliability.
  • Conducting calculations for system design, including short circuit protection and load flow analysis.
  • Working with major industrial manufacturers' hardware/software (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens).
  • Collaborating across teams and being flexible with work shifts during project phases.

Qualifications:

  1. Strong organizational skills and technical competence, with effective communication abilities.
  2. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field with relevant experience).
  3. A minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably in ASTM standards and safety engineering within the attractions industry.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office applications.
  5. Willingness to travel up to 30% as needed.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to perform tasks requiring visual acuity, hearing, clear speech, manual dexterity, and physical mobility.

Work Environment:

Position involves working at client locations, standard office settings, and diverse industrial environments, with frequent use of computers and communication devices.
