As a part of our dynamic engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in the Control & Diagnostic Systems (CDS) sector, which is dedicated to the advancement and certification of control and diagnostic systems for military, commercial, and industrial gas turbine engines. Your contributions will encompass all phases of development, including requirements analysis, system architecture, algorithm design, and software development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and document requirements, design specifications, and low-level software for embedded processors using C programming.
  • Conduct debugging and integration testing on target platforms.
  • Implement hardware-software integration testing to ensure system reliability.
  • Document standard operating procedures and identify process enhancements to boost efficiency.
  • Provide mentorship to junior engineers, fostering their growth and development.
  • Engage in collaborative meetings with product managers to align on project goals.
  • Deliver presentations to the Component Integration Product Team as required.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant STEM field.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in embedded systems engineering, or an advanced degree with at least 5 years of experience.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is mandatory for security clearance eligibility.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in developing and troubleshooting safety-critical embedded software.
  • Proficient in C, Ada, and assembly programming languages.
  • Familiarity with Python programming.
  • Knowledge of communication protocols such as MIL-STD-1394, MIL-STD-1553, ARINC429, and CAN bus.
  • Experience with software configuration management and agile methodologies.
  • Proficient in using logic analyzers and emulators.
  • Experience in safety-critical software verification to meet industry standards.
  • Strong background in control system software architecture and design.
  • Familiarity with test hardware and testing environments.
