About the Role

Rose International is seeking a highly skilled IT professional to fill the position of System Administrator. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, analyzing, developing, and implementing complex computer systems that support our business operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Planning and Development: Plan, analyze, develop, program, modify, test, debug, and implement complex computer systems to meet the needs of our organization.
  • Requirements Definition: Define and develop requirements for creative, logical, and effective solutions that meet the needs of our business.
  • Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve problems and/or process identification and definition to ensure smooth system operation.
  • Technical Direction: Provide technical direction in complex information modeling concepts, data access, information system interfaces, and reporting tools to support business operations.
  • Project Management: Manage complex projects to include performing related research, performing analysis, preparing bids, selecting vendors, managing outside consultants, and determining requirements.
  • Data Standards and Reporting: Develop and document data standards and prepare and analyze a variety of system reports to make recommendations on system upgrades.
  • Hardware and Software Evaluation: Evaluate hardware and/or software for improvements and possible modifications to support business operations.
  • User Training: Train users on system usage and provide technical support as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems/Data Science/Analytics or related field.
  • Experience: Five (5) years of progressively responsible, systems administration experience in a large-scale Information Technology environment.
  • Skills and Abilities: Must be able to independently work with customers, gather requirements, and provide analytical reports to a variety of management levels and organizational departments. Coordinate with vendors and internal IT teams regarding maintenance/performance issues. Attention to detail is essential, highly organized, and motivated to provide excellent customer support. Must be able to produce technical and user-level documentation.
Preferred Experience
  • Software Development and Support: Two years of experience developing and implementing, supporting software applications and providing user-end support.
  • Software Lifecycle Understanding: Keen understanding of software lifecycle.
  • Large Environment Experience: Experience in a large environment where management of life-critical systems exists.
  • User Training and Direction: Preferred experience providing direction and training to users at various levels of expertise to increase their knowledge and abilities to utilize systems supported.
