Key Attributes:

  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership role within a high-end hotel or upscale dining environment.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of four years of progressive culinary experience, including supervisory or managerial roles.
  • Proficient in all kitchen stations with a high level of skill.
  • Familiarity with software applications such as Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Slack.
  • Strong command of English, with bilingual proficiency in Spanish preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of ingredients and current culinary trends.
  • Commitment to guest satisfaction through a proactive, hands-on management approach.
  • Ability to manage spontaneous requests with composure, fostering a positive work atmosphere.
  • Calm under pressure, with effective problem-solving and prioritization skills.
  • Understanding of inventory management and ordering processes.
  • Experience in managing inventory, including needs assessment, order placement, and delivery verification.
  • Passion for sustainability and personal growth.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the culinary team, overseeing daily kitchen operations including production, preparation, special events, and inventory management.
  • Provide guidance and training to team members through constructive feedback and coaching.
  • Facilitate cross-training among team members to enhance their culinary skills across various stations.
  • Utilize your expertise to help achieve the restaurant's financial objectives by managing labor and food costs effectively.
  • Implement and uphold the Gravity Haus Culinary operations system to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards, including temperature logs and product rotation.
  • Analyze financial data such as sales and labor costs to maintain budgetary adherence.
  • Act as an ambassador for Gravity Haus, promoting our mission and vision to cultivate a globally conscious community.

Qualifications:
  • At least four years of culinary experience.
  • Two years of experience in a leadership role preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
