Position Summary:

The Lead Sous Chef plays a pivotal role in the kitchen, assisting in overseeing all culinary operations within the restaurant.

Position Specifications:

  • Outlet: Housing may be available.
  • Expected Pay Range: $23.76 per hour.
  • Shift Availability: Full Time.
  • Skill Level: Lead.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the executive chef in the daily management of restaurant operations.
  • Tasks include menu creation, inventory management, training culinary students, and staff scheduling.
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations and staff in alignment with established food programs and standards.
  • Manage budgetary constraints and food cost control.
  • Supervise kitchen personnel and facilitate their development.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment and lead by example.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited culinary program or ACF apprenticeship, or possess five years of supervisory culinary experience in a hotel or resort.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, including menu writing and production.
  • Culinary degree is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Capacity to work independently and contribute positively to a productive work atmosphere.
  • Flexible schedule, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Resumes are required.

The expected pay range is $23.76. This reflects the anticipated compensation for this position, with individual decisions based on various factors.
