Culinary Leadership Opportunity

Vail Resorts is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will assist in managing all culinary aspects of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional food quality and service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Executive Chef in day-to-day operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff supervision.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and develop their skills to maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Manage budget and food cost control, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Develop and implement new menu ideas and recipes to enhance the dining experience.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service and high customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited culinary program or equivalent experience in a hotel or resort setting.
  • Proven track record of leadership and team management in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for long periods of time.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
