Equitas Health is seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with medical, mental health, and recovery staff to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of reception, data collection, and administrative support to health services.
Key Responsibilities- Schedule patient appointments for all health center services
- Collect and update patient information, including demographics, insurance, and copays
- Responsible for daily data entry, charge entry, and payment posting
- Verify patient appointments via phone and update patient records
- Scan patient paperwork and outside documents into the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
- Manage tasks assigned by medical team members, including referrals, scheduling specialist appointments, and coordinating with case management staff
- Maintain a clean and professional waiting room, reception area, and other health services areas
- Prepare and maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Two or more years of medical reception experience or equivalent combination of training and experience
- Demonstrated customer service skills and ability to establish effective working relationships
- Working knowledge of administrative procedures and organizational policies and procedures
- Knowledge of CPT and/or ICD-9/ICD-10 coding and billing preferred
- Competitive salary range of $37,000-$46,200
- Quarterly Patient Access Incentive Bonus
