Job Summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Ambulatory Patient Access Representative to join our team. As a key member of our Patient Access department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients and families, ensuring seamless registration and scheduling processes, and maintaining accurate patient information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Register patients in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring all necessary demographic and insurance information is collected.
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to minimize wait times.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure a positive experience.
  • Identify and address any issues or concerns related to patient access, working collaboratively with colleagues to resolve.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred.
  • One year of healthcare experience preferred, with a focus on patient access or registration.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer systems and technology, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
