About the Role:
The Project Operations Leader will oversee customer projects post-award, focusing on safety, timelines, profitability, and client satisfaction. This role involves close collaboration with the project team to create and maintain a comprehensive project schedule, highlighting critical path items and anticipating potential challenges. The Project Operations Leader is responsible for effectively communicating the safety plan to the Superintendent.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee, assess, and enhance the efficiency of the project management team, ensuring adherence to the management principles set by the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Engage in customer site visits, proposal creation, and contract evaluations to guarantee a thorough understanding of project scope, contractual obligations, and associated risks.
  • Collaborate with the Project Sales Representative prior to project initiation; transition the project from sales through development to execution, maintaining communication throughout and documenting any changes impacting scope, schedule, or budget.
  • Interact with clients, engineers, vendors, suppliers, and other stakeholders during the design and planning phases of the project.
  • Work closely with the project team to develop and sustain an overall project timeline, identifying critical path items and foreseeing potential issues that could affect schedules, construction, and project costs.
  • Regularly and accurately communicate project status, including schedule, financial health, risk assessments, quality, safety, and other essential areas.
  • Coordinate work crews and schedule necessary equipment.
  • Be prepared to travel as required and manage field leadership effectively.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Experience:
Demonstrated experience sufficient to meet or exceed the essential duties outlined above.

Technical Skills:
Proficient understanding of engineering plans and specifications. Must possess mechanical aptitude with a foundational understanding of machinery, heavy construction, and industrial project flow principles. Basic math and geometry skills are necessary. Strong planning and leadership abilities are essential.

Administrative Skills:
Familiarity with construction contracts, proficiency in Windows-based software applications, and effective time management skills.

Certifications:
PMP certification is preferred.
