Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Branch Manager to lead our retail operations in New Philadelphia, OH. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing branch operations, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Directly manage the day-to-day branch retail operations, including safety, retail sales, warehousing, and distribution.
  • Lead and manage a team of Counter Sales, Warehouse, Drivers, and Customer Service employees.
  • Assist in the development and execution of marketing plans to support key market segments in collaboration with our Sales and Operations teams and outside vendors.
  • Coordinate sales promotion activities, merchandising, and displays, as well as opportunities for Airgas-wide conversions.
  • Manage inside sales, sales growth, and sales margins.
  • Collaborate with outside sales to ensure order accuracy and properly scheduled customer deliveries by Airgas trucks.
  • Manage branch inventory, daily hard goods inventory cycle counts, and maintain showroom and warehouse appearance.
  • Manage all hard goods receiving and dynamic deployment (hard goods inter-branch orders) for timely completion.
  • Lead and manage annual/bi-annual physical hard goods inventories.
  • Monitor SAP reports daily, including open order/delivery reports, billing and delivery block reports, and open Purchase Order (PO) reports.
  • Provide Daily Cash Reconciliation (DCR) and ensure daily completion, addressing any issues prior to deposit.
  • Oversee employee training in procedural areas, such as following all Airgas Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS) and safety regulations.
  • Partner with Airgas hardware vendors to schedule and hold monthly vendor product training sessions.
  • Manage branch operating expenses, including overtime and office supplies.
  • Work with corporate accounts receivable to manage branch credits and collections.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in sales and/or distribution of gases and welding supplies or similar industrial products.
  • Two (2) years of prior demonstrated management or leadership experience.
  • Prior SAP experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated planning skills, including identifying requirements, allocating resources, and establishing courses of action.
