Key Responsibilities

  • Manage overall branch operations to ensure optimal efficiency.
  • Build and maintain strong business relationships with clients through effective communication and swift issue resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations (HACCP, OSHA), personnel policies, security measures, pest control, and loss prevention strategies.
  • Review financial and operational data to implement necessary improvements.
  • Oversee warehouse functions including safety, cleanliness, inventory management, merchandising, order processing, and customer service.
  • Set service standards and operational objectives for the branch, monitoring progress regularly.
  • Enhance sales strategies by delivering outstanding customer service within budgetary constraints.
  • Lead the recruitment, performance evaluation, and professional development of management staff.
  • Address employee relations matters such as promotions, transfers, and disciplinary actions.
  • Coordinate with corporate offices to ensure adherence to company policies and legal regulations.
  • Conduct routine inventory assessments to ensure product accuracy and availability.

Qualifications

  • At least 4 years of management experience in food service or grocery distribution.
  • Demonstrated success in managing a high-volume warehouse operation.
  • Familiarity with P&L, inventory management, merchandising, staff hiring/training, cash handling, payroll, and loss prevention.
  • Ability to foster strong customer relationships.
  • Knowledge of relevant state and federal regulations.
  • Experience in supervising assistant branch managers and department heads.
  • Capability to complete reports and documentation accurately and on time.
