Branch Sales Manager

Coastline Equipment is seeking a highly skilled Branch Sales Manager to lead our sales team in Long Beach, CA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coach sales professionals to implement sales processes and whole goods strategy within the branch.
  • Travel with outside sales personnel to assess performance and foster customer relationships.
  • Create development plans for sales professionals, including individual training needs for product and selling skills.
  • Conduct monthly one-on-one evaluations with sales staff, reviewing daily/weekly/monthly duties and progress.
  • Conduct biannual one-on-one evaluations with a focus on branch and company goals, including volume, unit sales, market share, and business plan objectives.
  • Hold branch sales meetings with staff and management to discuss market conditions, competition, and internal programs.
  • Ensure a consistent sales process that drives optimal financial, market, and customer performance.
  • Work with Parts Managers, Service Managers, Dispatchers, and the Corporate Used Equipment Manager to provide a best-in-class customer experience.
  • Recruit, staff, and develop direct reports under the direction of the Branch Manager and corporate recruiting.
  • Monitor inventory and ensure proper levels as directed by Corporate.

Requirements:

  • Ability to teach and coach sales professionals on selling techniques and processes.
  • Capacity to be an internal resource for sales staff in all areas, including product, financing, marketing programs, and computer applications.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret internal reports.
  • Post-high school education preferred.

Relationships and Roles:

  • Collaborate with OEM partners.
  • Dotted line reporting relationship with the Corporate Sales Director.
  • Promote and embody company Core Values.
  • Set an example in areas of personal character, commitment, organization, and operational skills, work habits, and company's Safety Program.
  • Must promote a professional appearance and demonstrate the ability to interact and cooperate with all customers, company employees, and company managers in a professional manner.

Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift to 25 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to drive and travel in a vehicle.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary: $100,000 - $130,000.
  • Quarterly sales incentives and annual bonus.
  • Health, dental, vision, paid time off, and paid holidays.
