Position Summary: ACET is currently seeking a Senior Aircraft Structural Technician to join our team. This role is based in San Diego, CA, and involves advanced mechanical and structural tasks within the aviation sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute high-level modifications on aircraft, including structural alterations and installations.
  • Document all removed components and their serial numbers accurately in logbooks.
  • Interpret and utilize technical data, engineering drawings, and blueprints for effective task execution.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on prototypes and verification installations.
  • Guide and oversee Level II technicians in various maintenance tasks.
  • Utilize a range of tools including drills, grinders, and calipers to perform maintenance duties.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6 years of structural experience with H60 or similar rotary wing aircraft.
  • Ability to perform DEPOT level structural maintenance and provide technical guidance.
  • Proficient in Naval Aircraft Maintenance or equivalent qualifications from other military services.
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Demonstrated ability in basic sheet metal functions including drilling, riveting, and installing panels.
  • Capable of accurately completing maintenance documentation as required.
  • Must possess basic hand tools for aircraft maintenance tasks.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance and Common Access Card (CAC).

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds.
  • Must pass a fit-for-work physical and/or drug test as necessary.
  • Willingness to work in physically demanding environments, including heights and confined spaces.
  • Travel may be required for job-related duties.
